Frommern Waldorf school starts
in-person lessons with IDEAL air purifiers
There has been ongoing and intensive discussion about equipping schools and childcare facilities with air purifiers in the media. This is an important issue for Waldorfschulverein Zollernalb e.V. as well, who say they are concerned about the health of their children, pupils, teachers, educators and employees during the pandemic. For this reason, 50 Krug + Priester air purifiers were purchased for the Frommern Waldorf school.
The obvious solution was to contact the Balingen-based manufacturer Krug + Priester to equip the Waldorf school with air purifiers from the company's IDEAL brand. Despite the above-average demand for air purifiers at the moment, the local company did not hesitate. "Actively supporting schools on the issue of air hygiene is very important to us. And naturally we feel an even stronger obligation to support the local Frommern Waldorf school," explains Daniel Priester, Managing Director of Krug + Priester. "That is why we did everything in our power to ensure our IDEAL air purifiers arrived in good time before the start of in-person lessons."
"In order to minimise the risk of transmitting the virus, on top of opening the windows regularly, the devices were purchased across the board in time for the start of in-person lessons for primary schools and final-year pupils. We equipped every room in our association, from the childcare facilities, common rooms in our nursery, classrooms for years 1 to 13, the school's technical rooms, to the teacher's lounge and the offices and meeting rooms for our administration," says Managing Director Diana Späth.
Especially in rooms where many people regularly come together it is more important than ever that the air in indoor spaces is clean and purified. In childcare groups and classrooms, where it is very difficult to maintain any distance, infectious illnesses often spread particularly quickly. Particularly when playing, singing or learning together, infectious aerosols get transmitted through ambient air. The efficient IDEAL air purifiers counteract this and thereby supplement and enhance protective measures such as social distancing, dividing walls, surface disinfection and face masks. Circulating and cleaning the air several times per hour decreases the dwell time of harmful substances like viruses and bacteria and reduces the amount of virulent aerosols in the ambient air. Daniel Priester: "In this way, our devices ensure the highest possible degree of hygiene and safety. We are happy to make an important contribution to this aim at Frommern Waldorf school with our IDEAL air purifiers."
A healthy learning environment is an integral part of Waldorf education. Procuring 50 air purifiers was therefore a logical consequence of the decision to return to in-person lessons. It is a clear sign of commitment by the Waldorf school association.
