K+P running team on the start line!
A record number of 1816 registered runners lined up at the start, including an 18-strong team representing K+P. It was a fantastic community event and great fun was had by all.
With the weather having felt very muggy during the day, a sudden clap of thunder could be heard just at the start of the 9th Balingen company run. Once under way, the runners were accompanied by numerous rain showers along some of the 5.7 km-long course, which ran through the centre of Balingen. But the weather was no match for the motivated participants, who rallied on regardless. A record number of 1816 registered runners lined up at the start, including an 18-strong team representing K+P.
Fantastic finishing times and smiles all round
For several K+P employees, it was their second or third time running the race, which spurred them on to give it their all again and beat their previous time. And they did not disappoint. Cheered (rather loudly) along the way by colleagues, friends and family, the runners reached the finish line with good times. The fastest member of the K+P team was Matthias Scherer, crossing the line within an impressive 23 minutes and 18 seconds. A fantastic result. Afterwards, Managing Director Daniel Priester welcomed the finishers with cold drinks and fresh fruit. It was a fantastic team event and great fun was had by all. We're already looking forward to next year's run!
