Document Shredders
The document shredder "rattles" and makes "cracking" noises
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply. Please first try to carefully remove all visible paper residue from the lower outlet area of the cutting unit. Then clean the cutting unit of the document shredder as described in the operating instructions under "Maintenance and care". If this measure does not remedy the situation, the automatic container fill level detection may no longer work. In this case, please contact your specialist dealer or send the upper part of the device including a description of the fault(download accompanying letter) to our customer service department. We will then provide you with a free quote for the repair of your appliance.
The document shredder displays "bin full" even though the bin is not yet full
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply. Please first try to carefully remove all visible paper residue from the lower outlet area of the cutting unit. Then clean the cutting unit of the document shredder as described in the operating instructions under "Maintenance and care". If this measure does not remedy the situation, the automatic container fill level detection may no longer work. In this case, please contact your specialist dealer or send the upper part of the device including a description of the fault(download accompanying letter) to our customer service department. We will then provide you with a free quote for the repair of your appliance.
The document shredder does not shred the specified number of sheets
Please note that the number of sheets specified for the device refers to A4 paper with a grammage of 70 g/m² or 80 g/m² in the lengthwise direction. Different grammages lead to different numbers of sheets. Please also check the fill level of the waste bin. Overfilled collection bins reduce the sheet output. To increase the number of sheets, please clean and oil the shredder's cutting unit as described in the operating instructions under "Maintenance and care". Please only use the special oil for document shredders approved by us (Order No. 9000611). Other oils can damage the document shredder. Regular oiling of the cutting unit is particularly important for our particle cutters to ensure consistently good sheet performance. Do not use multiple sockets and extension cables.
What must I never destroy with my document shredder?
Never destroy rechargeable batteries or batteries contained in devices or documents. Therefore, do not destroy any electronic devices, such as smartphones or tablet PCs. The same applies to greeting cards, greeting cards or gift cards with music or other electronic effects. These products contain batteries or rechargeable batteries, which can cause a fire in the shredder's shred bin after shredding.
Never destroy metal or coins, as these can damage the cutter shafts. Also ensure that paper clips are only destroyed with suitable cutters.
Never use spray cans or flammable substances. Only use care products approved by us (e.g. oils, cleaners). Other care products can lead to inflammation or damage
There is a paper jam in the document shredder. How can I fix this?
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply. First try to remove all visible paper residue from the top and bottom of the cutting unit. Then oil the cutting unit in the accessible free areas. Then insert a thin cardboard into the free areas until the paper jam is released and removed. Then clean and oil the cutting unit of your document shredder as described in the operating instructions under "Maintenance and care". Please only use the special oil for document shredders approved by us (order no. 9000611). Other oils can damage the document shredder. If this measure does not remedy the situation, please contact our customer service.
The document shredder does not switch off automatically
In this case, the light barrier (transmitter + receiver) located in the center of the paper inlet may be dirty. Always disconnect the device from the power supply. Clean both light barrier glasses in the paper inlet with a dust-free cloth. For devices with a deeper inlet, wrap the cloth around a ruler. If the device still does not function correctly, the light barrier may be damaged. In this case, please contact your specialist dealer or send the upper part of the appliance including a description of the fault(download accompanying letter) to our customer service department. We will then provide you with a free cost estimate for the repair of your device.
The document shredder only runs backwards instead of forwards
Please ensure that the device is switched on and always feed the sheets to be shredded through the center of the document shredder. Make sure that the paper collection tray is not full. If the device does not work despite the sheets being fed in from the middle and the waste bin being empty, it may be due to an electrical component. In this case, please contact your specialist dealer or send the upper part of the device including a description of the fault(download accompanying letter) to our customer service department. We will then provide you with a free quote for the repair of your appliance.
The document shredder does not start
Please first check that the mains plug is plugged in correctly and that the door of the document shredder cabinet is fully closed. Also check that the upper part of the document shredder is correctly positioned in the base cabinet or on the container. If necessary, correct the position of the document shredder on the cabinet or in the container so that it rests "correctly" on the cabinet or container. If smaller document shredders are used intensively, the motor's overheating protection may be activated for safety reasons. In this case, allow the appliance to cool down for some time. The device will then work perfectly again. A dry and dirty cutting unit can also trigger the overheating protection. In this case, please clean and oil the cutting unit of the document shredder as described in the operating instructions under "Maintenance and care". Please only use the special oil for document shredders approved by us (order no. 9000611). Other oils can damage the document shredder. Regular oiling of the cutting unit is particularly important for our particle cutters to ensure consistently good blade performance. If these measures do not help, please contact your specialist dealer or send the upper part of the device including a description of the fault(download accompanying letter) to our customer service department. We will then provide you with a free cost estimate for the repair of your appliance.
The document shredder flashes red and green alternately
If the document shredder is used intensively, the motor's overheating protection may be activated for safety reasons. In this case, allow the appliance to cool down for some time. The device will then work properly again.
Which oil can I use for my document shredder?
Only use our special oil for document shredders (article number 9000611 for the 0.2 liter bottle or 9000621 for the 1 liter bottle). For particle-cutting devices, shredder oil paper (item number 9000631) is also available as an alternative. Other oils can damage the paper shredder. Regular oiling maintains the performance of your document shredder. Our special oil binds dust, cleans and maintains the blade shafts. It is harmless to the environment as it is biodegradable. For safety reasons, never use oil from spray cans to oil your document shredder (risk of deflagration!).
Never use spray cans or flammable substances. Only use care products approved by us (e.g. oils, cleaners). Other care products can lead to ignition or damage.
How do I oil my document shredder properly?
Only apply the approved special oil for document shredders (see "Which oil can I use for my document shredder?") directly to the cutter shafts of your document shredder or pour a few lines across the feed direction onto a sheet of paper and run it through the document shredder. As an alternative for particle cutting devices, you can also use our paper shredder oil paper (article number 9000631). If necessary, run several sheets of oil paper through the document shredder so that the entire width of the cutter shafts is oiled. For safety reasons, never use oil from spray cans to oil your paper shredder (risk of deflagration!).
Never use spray cans or flammable substances. Only use care products approved by us (e.g. oils, cleaners). Other care products can lead to ignition or damage.
The autofeed function no longer works
In this case, please rub the rubber feed belts in the sheet insertion area thoroughly with roller cleaner(see video). Please only use the universal roller cleaner approved by us (order no. 9000632) Other cleaners can damage the document shredder. By regularly cleaning the feed belts, you can ensure that sheets are constantly fed in properly.
The "Overload" LED lights up on my document shredder
In this case, there is too much paper in the cutting unit and the document shredder is blocked. Switch the document shredder to reverse mode and remove the paper. Please also check the fill level of the waste bin. Overfilled waste bins reduce the sheet output. To increase the number of sheets, please clean and oil the shredder's cutting mechanism as described in the operating instructions under "Maintenance and care". Please only use the special oil for document shredders approved by us (Order No. 9000611). Other oils can damage the document shredder. Regular oiling of the cutting unit is particularly important for our particle cutters to ensure consistently good sheet performance. Do not use multiple sockets and extension cables
The "Overheat" LED lights up on my document shredder
If smaller document shredders are used intensively, the motor's overheating protection may be activated for safety reasons. In this case, allow the appliance to cool down for some time. The device will then work perfectly again. A dry and dirty cutting unit can also trigger the overheating protection. In this case, please clean and oil the cutting unit of the document shredder as described in the operating instructions under "Maintenance and care". Please only use the special oil for document shredders approved by us (Order No. 9000611). Other oils can damage the document shredder. Document shredder maintenance: Regular oiling of the document shredder
Regular oiling maintains the performance of your document shredder. You should oil the document shredder cutting unit when cutting performance decreases and after every full waste bin. Only use our special oil for document shredders (article number 9000611 for the 0.2 liter bottle or for document shredders with automatic oiler 9000621 for the 1 liter bottle). Apply the approved special oil for document shredders either directly to the cutter shafts of your document shredder or pour a few lines across the feed direction onto a sheet of paper and let it run through the document shredder. Our special oil binds dust, cleans, lubricates and maintains the cutter shafts. You can also use our oil paper (article number 9000631) as an alternative for particle cutting devices. If necessary, run several sheets of oil paper through the document shredder so that the entire width of the cutter shafts is oiled. For safety reasons, never use oil from spray cans to oil your paper shredder (risk of deflagration!). Oils other than those approved by us can damage the document shredder.
Shredder maintenance: Clean the shredder's cutting mechanism
You should clean the outlet area of the cutting unit from time to time. To do this, first disconnect the device from the power supply. Then use a brush to remove the paper residue from the outlet area of the document shredder. Caution: Risk of injury!
Shredder maintenance: cleaning the rubber feed belts on Autofeed document shredders
Clean the rubber bands every time you empty the collection container. To do this, first disconnect the appliance from the power supply. Remove paper residue and paper dust from the rubber belts using a standard vacuum cleaner. Then rub the rubber feed belts thoroughly with our roller cleaner. Plug the device back in and shred a sheet of paper using the autofeed mechanism. Disconnect the device from the power supply again and clean the rubber feed belts again. Repeat this cleaning cycle until the entire belt surface has been cleaned. Please only use the universal roller cleaner approved by us (order no. 9000632). Other cleaners can damage the document shredder. By regularly cleaning the feed belts, you can ensure a consistently good sheet feed.
Shredder maintenance: Empty the shredder's waste bin in good time
To ensure trouble-free operation of the document shredder cutting unit, you must empty the waste bin in good time, i.e. do not "push" the cuttings into the waste bin! Overfull waste bins reduce the sheet output and can lead to a paper jam.
Cutting machines
trimmer: Paper is cut crooked
In this case, first check whether the paper is being pressed sufficiently during cutting and is not shifting on the machine table. If this is the case, apply more pressure to the lever cutter with manual paper pressing. For machines with a rubber press, please clean the rubber press or replace it. If these measures do not remedy the situation, the presumably blunt blade set (upper blade incl. lower blade) should be replaced;if these measures do not remedy the situation, please contact your specialist dealer or our customer service department.
trimmer: Blade lever drops down automatically
In this case, the blade lever bearing must be readjusted in accordance with the operating instructions for your model. If these measures do not remedy the situation, please contact your specialist dealer or our customer service.
Roll cutter: Paper is not cut cleanly
If this is the case, first check whether the circular blade is inadvertently positioned on the cutting rail. If this is the case, the circular blade can be positioned correctly as follows: Raise the cutting head slightly, press and hold the button, lower the cutting head and release the button. The circular blade is now positioned behind the cutting bar and works properly again. If these measures do not remedy the situation, the circular blade, which is probably blunt, should be replaced. If these measures do not help, please contact your specialist dealer or our customer service department.
Roll cutter: Paper sheet is torn
In this case, the sheet of paper may hang down too much after the cutting edge. If this is the case, place the sheet of paper over the guide bar located behind the cutting bar. If these measures do not help, the circular blade, which is probably blunt, should be replaced. If these measures do not help, please contact your specialist dealer or our customer service department.
guillotine: The stack of paper is cut at an angle (from top to bottom)
In this case, the blade may be blunt. It should be replaced or resharpened. In this case, please contact your specialist dealer or send the blade in the blade box including a description of the fault(download accompanying letter) to our customer service.
guillotine: Blade does not come back up (models IDEAL 550, 551, 5560)
In this case, the blade may move too deep into the cutting bar and get stuck there. You should loosen the corresponding screws on the cutting bar (red bar) and turn or replace the cutting bar. Correct the blade depth according to the operating instructions for your model. When working with self-adhesive paper, the adhesive residue between the blade and the pressure bar must be removed regularly or this area cleaned. If these measures do not remedy the situation, please contact your specialist dealer or our customer service department.
guillotine: Last sheet is not cut through
In this case, the cutting bar may be worn and should be rotated and/or turned. If necessary, readjust the blade with the blade adjustment screw as described in the operating instructions. If these measures do not remedy the situation, please contact your specialist dealer or our customer service department.
guillotine: Cutter does not run
Please first check that the mains plug is plugged in correctly and that the main switch and key switch are switched on. Also check whether the fuses on the building have tripped. For machines with an overload fuse (located in the base plate of the machine), check whether this fuse has tripped. Activate the fuse again by pressing it in. Extreme loads caused by repeated blocking due to a blunt blade can cause the machine to be overloaded, resulting in the fuse(s) being triggered. If necessary, change the blade using the blade changing device as described in the operating instructions. If these measures do not remedy the situation, please contact your specialist dealer or our customer service department.
guillotine: Cutting machine makes noise
In this case, the blade guides and the backgauge spindle must first be lubricated as described in the operating instructions. If this measure does not remedy the situation, please contact your specialist dealer or our customer service department. Noise can also be caused by a worn motor brake. In this case, please contact your specialist dealer or our customer service department. Please always have the model name and serial number ready for our service staff.
Cutting machine maintenance: Regular maintenance of the cutting machine
Maintenance work may only be carried out by suitable and appropriately trained personnel. Always disconnect the machine from the power supply before carrying out maintenance work. Regularly remove paper residues from the machine and regularly lubricate the machine's moving guides as described in the operating instructions under "Maintenance and care". To maintain operational safety and prevent premature wear, we recommend having the machine checked and serviced by a qualified service technician at regular intervals. Please ask your specialist dealer or contact our customer service team on 07433/269-0 or send an e-mail to kundendienst@krug-priester.com. Our customer service is available Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Please always have the model name and serial number ready for our service staff.
Cutting machine maintenance: Regular safety check of the cutting machine
A safety check must be carried out every 5 years by a customer service authorized by us in accordance with section 3.5, chapter 2.2 of BGR 500. The performance and the test result must be documented in a test report. After a successful test, a test sticker is visibly attached to the machine. This safety inspection is mandatory in Germany and is strongly recommended in other countries. Please ask your specialist dealer or contact our customer service on 07433/269-0 or send an e-mail to kundendienst@krug-priester.com. Our customer service is available Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Please always have the model name and serial number ready for our service staff.

Is it OK to operate the AP PRO air purifier around the clock?
Yes, the appliances are designed for continuous operation.
What is the best way to operate the air purifiers?
You will notice the strongest positive effect if you keep the room in which the air purifier is operated closed. The application is comparable to an air conditioner where the windows of the room are typically also closed. To let CO2 out - and oxygen in - it is advisable to air the room regularly.
Can air purifiers be operated in environments with increased humidity?
We advise against operating the air purifier in very high humidity. The components of the device and the filters are not designed for these conditions. For example, air purifiers are not designed for use in bathrooms or saunas.
Why does my air purifier constantly show bad air "RED"?
Check whether you have a constant influx of bad air into your room air. If so, the phenomenon is normal and correct. Check whether the appliance is in a draught. If so, move the appliance slightly out of the draught as this can interfere with the measurement results of the sensors. Check whether the pre-filter layer of your 360° filter is contaminated with coarse dust. If yes, clean it.
What should I do if an object has fallen into the air outlet of the air purifier?
Unplug the device. Turn the device over and try to let the object fall out of the device by shaking it gently. Never unscrew the device yourself. If you are unable to shake the object out, please contact your local dealer or customer service www.ideal.de.
The air purifier does not work as expected
Windows open or ventilation switched on:
Dirt is constantly coming in from outside, which overloads the appliance.
→ Close windows (doors), tilt at most. Switch ventilation off or down if possible.
In darkness, with windows tilted or ventilation at a low level:
In automatic mode, the appliance automatically regulates the operating status. This does not happen in night mode.
→ Set the appliance manually 1-2 levels higher than automatic mode does.
Room dark (no problem with AP Pro models):
If a room is dark, the air purifier operates in night mode. This is sufficient to keep the air in a purified room clean, but not to purify polluted air.
→ Switch on the light or set the device to a higher level manually.
Not enough space at the sides and/or the air flow is blocked at the top:
The appliance cannot "breathe" properly and/or cannot distribute the clean air correctly in the room.
→ Create at least 20-30 cm of space at each side and do not place the appliance under tables or similar.
The air cannot circulate in the room:
Obstacles (e.g. cupboards, partition walls) prevent the air from circulating freely and cannot be cleaned properly.
→ Remove obstacles if possible or use smaller models decentrally.
The filter has not been unpacked:
The filter only works when unpacked.
→ Remove the film from the filter.
The filter is used up:
If the filter is used up (note the display!), the cleaning performance decreases.
→ Replace the filter.
Statement "the air purifier does not work" (special case of allergy sufferers' bedrooms)
During sleep, your face may touch bed linen that is contaminated with pollen or house dust. The air purifier cannot intervene at this short distance.
→ Change bed linen.
Statement "the sensor does not respond"
The sensor may not be calibrated correctly.
→ Unplug the device and plug it in again, the sensor will then recalibrate itself.
Statement "the sensor responds without me noticing any load"
The sensor can detect many substances that humans cannot perceive directly.
Statement "Odors are not completely removed"
Odor is a subjective perception and it can only be completely removed if the source disappears completely.
→ Remove odor source.
→ Possibly odor test by a third person.
Statement "the measured particulate matter values are hardly lower with an air purifier than without"
The initial value was probably quite low because, for example, it had been raining outside and/or sources of particulate matter in the room were not yet active or hardly active (e.g. printers).
→ For comparative measurements, the conditions must be comparable (weather, degree of use of the sources of particulate matter in the room [e.g. number of pages printed]).
The measurement may have been taken shortly after the fine dust emission, meaning that the air purifier has not yet been able to clean.
→ Wait a few minutes. If necessary, move the air purifier closer to the source of fine dust (observe the above points).
Statement "the humidifier smells bad"
Any air washer will become contaminated if it is not cleaned properly. This causes the odor.
→ Clean the appliance and replace consumables if necessary.
Statement "the humidifier does not humidify well"
As with the air purifiers, the room should be locked and the ventilation switched off if possible.
→ Close the windows, switch off the ventilation if necessary and switch off the drying function of the air conditioning system if necessary.
Some materials (e.g. carpets, sound-absorbing materials, wood) must first "soak up" until the evaporated water actually remains in the air.
→ Use appliances in continuous operation at the beginning (until everything is fully soaked up).

Folding machines
Can I fold my paper immediately after printing?
No. You should first allow the freshly printed paper to dry or cool for some time. This will ensure that the paper is fed in evenly. It is also very useful to fan the sheets first before folding. This improves the feeding behavior and prevents sheets from being fed in twice. For offset printed products, you should leave the paper to dry for at least 24 hours.
The paper gets stuck in the buckle plate
In this case, the paper may be too "smooth" and/or too "hard". Please note that the device can only fold the paper grammage (g/m²) specified in the technical data sheet. In this case, use grammages that correspond to the capacity of the device. To remove the paper, open the roller cover and remove the paper remnants from the machine and ensure a good sheet feed by regularly cleaning the rubber rollers. Our universal roller cleaner (order no. 9000632) is suitable for this purpose. Other cleaners can damage the machine.
The machine does not start and the message "OVER LOAD" appears immediately
In this case, the appliance may have been idle for too long and/or the appliance or ambient temperature is too low. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply. Fold up the roller cover in the upper area of the appliance and then turn the folding rollers back and forth several times(see video). This process is also described in the operating instructions.
Paper is not fed
In this case, the paper guide may be set too tightly. Place the paper guides loosely against the paper and move the white pressure disks in the feed area approx. 1 cm inwards from the paper guides. Now press the paper feed table down and push the paper forwards to stop it(see video). This process is also described in the operating instructions. Regular cleaning of the rubber feed rollers ensures consistently good sheet feed.
Paper is fed poorly
The rubber roller and the scraper must be cleaned regularly. Please only use the universal roller cleaner approved by us (order no. 9000632). Other cleaners can damage the appliance. If these measures do not remedy the situation, the presumably worn rubber roller(s) and the scraper should be replaced. The instructions for this can be found in the operating instructions. If these measures do not help, please contact your specialist dealer or send the appliance to our customer service department in its original packaging with a description of the fault(download accompanying letter). Please request the original packaging from our customer service department to avoid damage in transit. We will then provide you with a free cost estimate for the repair of your device.
The message "Paper Jam/Empty" appears even though paper is inserted
In this case, the outfeed roller may not be in the correct position or may not run smoothly. Set the outfeed roller to the appropriate fold type and ensure that the roller runs smoothly. When folding large quantities, ensure that the paper delivery is emptied regularly to prevent backlogs. This procedure is also described in the operating instructions.
The message "Paper Jam/Empty" appears immediately, even though paper is inserted
In this case, the light barrier at the outlet may be dirty or interrupted by paper residue. The light barrier is located in the outlet behind the small metal cover above the green outlet belts. Please clean both light barrier glasses in the paper outlet with a dust-free cloth.
The message "Cover Open" appears
In this case, the cover on the top of the machine is not closed correctly. Close the lid of the machine.
The message "Plate 1 ERR" or "Plate 2 ERR" appears
In this case, the buckle plate must be correctly engaged in its end position as described in the operating instructions (Plate1 = upper buckle plate / Plate 2 = lower buckle plate).
Folding machine 8345: The message "Connect plug of buckle plate 1 or 2"
In this case, check that the buckle plate plugs are seated correctly. Also check the paper stop of the buckle plate, which is probably located above the end position, and turn the stop back to the center a few turns.

- hereinafter referred to as the "Licensor" -
and the respective user of the Speedcut
software - hereinafter referred to as the "Licensee" -
- individually the "Party" and together the "Parties" -
Preamble
The purpose of this license agreement is to regulate the rights and obligations of the parties regarding the use by the licensee of the software for cutting machines offered by the licensor under the name "Speedcut" (hereinafter referred to as "software"), including demo versions.
Having said this, the parties agree as follows:
§ 1 Granting of license
(1) The Licensor grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to use the Software to the contractually agreed extent and subject to the rights of termination pursuant to § 6 for an unlimited period of time.
The licensor provides the licensee with the software via download. The licensee can download the software via a link in the service / download area of our website https://www.ideal.de or https://www.eba.de.
(2) The licensee is not permitted to grant rights of use to third parties.
(3) The software and the accompanying materials are protected by copyright. The Licensor shall be entitled to all rights to the Software and the accompanying materials. Any rights of use to these are only granted to the licensee to the extent that this is necessary for the contractually intended purposes.
(4) The Licensee acknowledges that not every malfunction in the program sequence constitutes a defect, as it is not possible to develop completely error-free software according to the state of the art.
(5) The licensee must also observe the license terms of third parties for third-party software integrated into the software, which are referred to before the software is installed. The license agreement (including third-party provisions) must be actively accepted before installing the software by ticking the box "I accept the license agreement" in order to install the software. Future changes will be made available with the respective update of the software.
§ 2 Restrictions on use
(1) The licensee's right of use applies to individual use on a physical workstation computer (hereinafter referred to as "computer") and may only be exercised by one person at a time.
(2) Activation and use of the software is restricted as follows:
a) The downloaded software does not allow the use of all functions and features.
b) Full use of the software is possible by purchasing an authorization key and the hardware supplied; please contact your dealer for this.
(3)The software is technically equipped with tamper protection that can detect changes to the program files. If tampering is detected, the license is blocked and the software can no longer be used.
(4) The licensee is prohibited from decompiling, disassembling or reverse engineering the software.
§ 3 Transfer restrictions
The license granted in this License Agreement is intended solely for use by the original Licensee and its employees. The Licensee may not rent, sublicense, transfer or lease the Software, in whole or in part, to any third party, whether for payment or free of charge, without the prior written consent of the Licensor.
§ 4 Liability
(1) The Licensor shall only be liable for damages, on whatever legal grounds,
a) insofar as the Licensor, its legal representatives or vicarious agents are guilty of intent or gross negligence
b) in the event of culpable injury to life, limb or health
c) in the event of culpable breach of material contractual obligations
d) in the event of defects which the Licensor has fraudulently concealed or the absence of which it has guaranteed.
e) insofar as liability exists under the Product Liability Act for personal injury or property damage to privately used objects.
The Licensor shall not be liable for any further claims for damages.
(2) The Licensee is aware that, as part of its obligation to minimize damage, it must regularly back up its data and, in the event of a suspected software error, take all reasonable additional backup measures.
(3) The Licensor shall not be liable for any loss of data if the damage is due to the Licensee's failure to carry out regular data backups and thus contribute to ensuring that lost data can be restored with reasonable effort.
(4) The Licensor shall not be liable for any failure of the Software due to accident, misuse or abuse by the Licensee.
§ 5 Data protection
The parties shall comply with the applicable data protection regulations.
§ 6 Term, termination
(1) The license agreement begins with the user's consent to the license agreement and subsequent download of the software.
(2) The license agreement is generally unlimited in time and can only be terminated for good cause in accordance with this § 6.
(3) The right to terminate the license agreement without notice for good cause remains unaffected by this. Important reasons for extraordinary termination are in particular, but not conclusively,
a) if the other party violates a material obligation assumed by it in the license terms and does not remedy the violation within the set period despite a warning with a reasonable deadline;
b) if the licensee does not observe the restrictions on use and transfer in accordance with §2 and §3;
c) the legally binding opening of insolvency proceedings against the assets of a party or the refusal to open insolvency proceedings for lack of assets;
d) if the continuation of the contract cannot reasonably be expected of the terminating party, taking into account all the circumstances of the individual case and weighing up the interests of both parties.
(4) Any termination must be in writing.
(5) Upon termination of the license agreement, it shall automatically expire.
(6) The Licensee is obliged to uninstall the Software from all computers immediately upon termination of the Agreement and to return all copies of the Software and the accompanying materials to the Licensor at its own risk and expense or, if a return is not possible, to irreversibly delete them.
§ 7 Place of performance, place of jurisdiction, applicable law, miscellaneous
(1) The place of performance for all claims arising from the business relationship between the Licensor and the Licensee shall be the Licensor's registered office.
(2) The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all claims arising from the business relationship shall be the place of performance, provided that the Licensee is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law. However, the Licensor shall also be entitled to take legal action against the Licensee at its general place of jurisdiction.
(3) All disputes arising from contracts to which these Terms and Conditions apply and all disputes arising from the business relationship between the Licensor and the Licensee shall be governed exclusively by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. The application of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and private international law is excluded.
(4) All amendments and additions to the license agreement must be made in writing to be effective. This also applies to the waiver of the written form requirement.
(5) Should one of the provisions of the license agreement be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The parties are obliged to replace the invalid provision with the one that best achieves the economically intended result.
(6) This agreement is drawn up in German and English. In the event of any inconsistency or contradiction between the German and English versions, the German version shall take precedence.
